Research shows that an ineffective voice can produce disaffection amongst sections of pupils. Voice Matters raises awareness of how our voice impacts learners, exploring how the voice works and how best to use it in the classroom.
Aimed at early career teachers, this interactive workshop offers practical, vocal warm-up exercises and explores clarity, tone, pitch and projection of the voice. Ideas for maintaining a healthy voice for career longevity are also shared.

About the presenter:
Alexandra Charalambous has over 15 years working in primary education as a former primary school teacher, lecturer, voice specialist and now leading a children’s literacy charity. Alexandra’s expertise lies in teaching effective literacy lessons and drama and in developing teachers’ subject knowledge. She has delivered ‘Voice Matters’ to a number of School Direct and SCITT training providers.
