This module is a recording of live webinars by Jenny Thompson, Principal at Dixons Trinity Academy & Michelle Long, Associate Executive Principal at Dixons Academies Trust, which ran between May and July, during our 2020 Free Summer Festival programme.
This module covers several aspects of behaviour, including why students behave in certain ways, practical tips to reduce low-level disruption and how to deal with more challenging behaviour. Explore the current research regarding behaviour in schools and successful behaviour management strategies. Learn about the importance of relationships. Learn about times of the day and parts of the lesson where behaviour might slip. Discover routines and structures you can include in your teaching to prevent or minimise this.
