About this module

An overview of the history of autism, how understanding of autism has developed to the present day, and an exploration of what it is like to be autistic. The history of identification and diagnosis is fundamental in gaining an authentic understanding of the autistic human. By covering the history and the current thinking and research on autism, alongside lived experiences, participants will gain insight into the challenges that the world poses for autistic people, and how we might start to see the world through their eyes.

This module is suitable for all staff across all settings and key stages.
